Graduate SAP Basis Engineer

Job Summary
Organisation is a global engineering leader based in Pretoria/Centurion, is seeking outstanding Graduate SAP Basis Engineers to join our dynamic team. This structured graduate programme is designed to cultivate future enterprise technology specialists and leaders, focusing on building a sustainable pipeline of diverse engineering talent. You will be immersed in the critical field of SAP Basis, learning to manage complex technology ecosystems, from operating systems and databases to advanced SAP applications, while contributing to innovative solutions and business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Undergo comprehensive training in SAP Basis administration, system architecture, and related technologies.
• Work on a wide range of solutions, including SAP HCM reporting and full SAP Basis managed services.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on client-facing and innovation-driven projects.
• Develop a deep understanding of how operating systems, databases, networks, and applications interact.
• Contribute to system installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Matric (National Senior Certificate).
• A B.Eng Degree or Master's in Computer and Electronic Engineering with outstanding academic marks.
• A demonstrable passion for Back-end Software Engineering and working with SAP Basis Technology.
• Keen interest in Operating Systems and Database Engineering.

Competencies Required
We seek individuals who exhibit: Systems Thinking, Root Cause Analysis, Analytical Rigor, Debugging and Troubleshooting Intuition, Logical Reasoning, Learning Agility, Attention to Detail, Risk Awareness, Process Orientation, and strong Communication Skills. You will be trained in methodologies like ITIL, PDCA, and structured Problem Management.
